Get to know Tunisian crochet by trying various techniques.
In the first hour we’ll learn the basics of Tunisian crochet, covering working into a foundation chain, Tunisian simple stitch, Tunisian knit stitch and purl stitch, and how to bind off.
In the second hour we’ll explore more possibilities for Tunisian crochet and learn some lace stitches. You’ll receive a Tunisian crochet lace scarf pattern to start in class and finish at home if desired.
We’ll also discuss various creative and fun uses for Tunisian crochet.

Requirements:
None, but knowing how to make a chain and some experience with either crochet or knitting is helpful.

Bring to Class:
Worsted weight yarn in light to mid color (to practice stitches with) and DK weight yarn (250-275 yards if you wish to complete a scarf); Size I (5.5 mm) Tunisian crochet hook (or regular, straight, crochet hook without a thumb rest, such Clover Takumi); and Size K (6.5 mm) Tunisian crochet hook (or regular, straight, crochet hook without a thumb rest).
