Forget setting your yarn, let’s create yarn that can go from wheel to project instantly! Students will be introduced to creating corespun wire yarn with emphasis on valuable tips and tricks for success in this often intimidating technique. After the basics have been covered, students will then apply the same principles preparing and core spinning around a 10 foot strand of battery operated LED lights. Resources a long with examples and suggestions for what can be created with these finished flexible yarns will be emphasized.

Materials Fee: $10 covers all fiber, 1 spool of 28 G wire, 1 strand of LED lights, handouts
