Double knitting provides you with a stockinette fabric on both sides. We will cover ways to add more color to your double knitting projects, including using the same third color on both sides, different colors on either side, and more than three colors.

Skills required: Basic double knitting experience is required.

Bring to class:

  • Several colors of worsted-weight yarn
  • US 6 or 7 (4 or 4.5mm) needles. This class will have samples worked flat and in the round. Be sure to have appropriate needles to work small swatches in the round: DPNs, 2 circulars or magic loop.
  • Knitting Basics: sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with eraser, stitch markers, tapestry needles (large and small), tape measure, needles and crochet hooks of various sizes
  • Small calculator
  • Optional – Yarn Guide (made by Clover or Knitting Thimble (made by Addi) and colored pencils to match your yarn colors.
