Discover the tricks as we unravel yarn from existing garments and see how to use that yarn in new projects. The cheapest (and greenest!) way to fill your stash — even with cashmere! Appropriate for knitters and crocheters.

Skills Required:

Bring to Class:

  • Sharp scissors
  • A sweater you’d like to salvage for yarn. The sweater should be clean, made of light colored, knitting gauge yarn.
  • The instructor will have a limited supply of ready-to-rip sweaters available for purchase.

Optional Supplies:

  • ball winder
  • niddy-noddy
  • seam ripper or small gauge metal crochet hook.
