YarnCon 2020 is Cancelled

With incredibly heavy hearts, we have decided to cancel YarnCon this year. The health, safety, and well-being of our vendors, attendees, speakers, and friends is our top concern. Because of the evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation, we feel it’s important to do what we can to minimize the spread of this virus.

We encourage you to check out our amazing vendor list, and support them through this difficult time. We will be here to answer any questions you might have.

If you registered for a class, we are already working on getting those refunds to you, please give us a little time, but email us if you have concerns.

Oh no! I just bought tickets to a class! I’m assuming that will be refunded?

    • Yes, we will be refunding all class tickets. Please give us a couple of days to move around funds and get the refunds started.

  5. Sad to hear this, but I understand.

  6. I was looking forward to attending and volunteering this year but sadly expected this to be cancelled. I totally understand and feel bad for the vendors who count on this for income and those of us attendees who are missing out on a great learning experience. Good good health to all and see you next year.

Oh no! So sad! It’s a blow for all us devoted attendees but a real hardship for vendors, etc. looking forward to next year!!!😱😭👎🏻👍🏻👋🏻💋

  8. I was looking forward to being a volunteer this year. Thank you for thinking of us first. See you next year🧶🧶🧶

Consider creating an online shopping experience with all the vendors and their wares linked in for easy shopping and checkout.

  10. I totally and fully understand and support your decision in this no matter how sad this makes me. So many things have to come into consideration I am sure. Thank you for putting health and wellness before profit. And because of that, I am a watching you to see what you do next and will be an active member and participator starting by printing a list of your vendors and supporting them!
Please take care of your vendors by doing the right things by them and make sure people get all their refunds etc.

    • We are doing everything we can to take care of our vendors, and will have more information on upcoming plans soon. And, yes, we are in the process of refunding them now. YarnCon would be nothing without them.

  11. I’m devastated. This was going to be my first YarnCon ever. 😭

  12. Nancy Wirtz says

So sad as this is always the kickoff of my “fiber event year” . I haven’t missed this since it’s second year and I will even more look forward to next year.

  13. C Anderson says

A very responsible thing to do. This was going to be my first YarnCon, but I was feeling bad because my stash was so big. Now I have a chance to work that down and go nuts next year! We’ll see if that works. See you then.
