YarnCon 2023: Live and in person!!

We are so excited to return to an in-person show for the first time since the before times. We’re ready to welcome more than 50 independent artisans back to our much-loved Plumbers Union Hall and revel in the joy that is YarnCon.

Speaking of revelry, allow us to introduce the YarnCon Symposium! We’re so happy to bring this longtime plan to real life in 2023. All of our classes and workshops will take place March 30-31 at the Symposium (which will be held at the Crowne Plaza hotel), followed by an opening party on Friday night. The classes are posted, and registration is now open.

Special keynote speaker at Friday night’s shindig: Safiyyah Talley, aka The Drunk Knitter! We are thrilled to welcome Safiyyah to YarnCon and can’t wait to hear her thoughts on the State of the Skein. Tickets to the Friday night event are $25.

Our amazing YarnCon marketplace will open to the public on Saturday, April 1, at 10am. Admission is free! The first 50 shoppers through the door both Saturday and Sunday will snag a coveted

How late does show go on Apri 1 and 2?

  4. Where is The Plumber’s Hall?

  5. Do people usually get in line for doors to open and if so how early

    • Yes, there’s a tradition of people lining up early before the doors open at 10am. We’ve seen them there as early as 7:30! If you choose to do this, make sure to dress warmly — it’s cold on those April mornings, and the entrance is on the west side of the building.

Why doesn’t your website front page list the HOURS of the event and the ADDRESS(es) of the event?
Only found it when looking here as answer to someone’s question.
Maybe should be included in your email blasts, too. We were having a meeting about attending and all of us were trying to find this info!
    Thanks.

    • Sorry, we list the hours on the Schedule page, but we’ll add them to the YarnCon homepage for clarity. Doors open both days at 10am, and the show runs until 5pm on Saturday, 3pm on Sunday.

Looking forward to it … I was told I can probably find the fine yarn I am searching for. But. … what is the parking situation?
